Cotton has formed a technology alliance.

Several companies have joined to form a committee tasked with forming data standards that we can all share. This is a huge step forward in the industry's effort to create more efficiency throughout the supply chain.

Three Rivers will implement these standards immediately in order to create easy ways for you to share data with your customers and service providers.

These standards lay the foundation for even bigger advancements in the near future. Blockchain requires standards because it will be a shared ledger. That means we all need to adhere to standard ways of describing things such as bookings, shipping orders, and invoices. Our new web based version will be tightly integrated with the shared ledger so that you can enjoy the benefits without concern for the underlying technology.

Data standards are smart. Its very exciting that our industry is taking this step. Regardless of where technology takes us, this first step is going to make it much easier for us to take that journey together.
